Happy Thanks giving. Our new CD DANCING THROUGH TIME is finally here, in hand, well in boxes actually, and ready for you to enjoy.
We'll have it up on our website soon. But for now if you want a copy of this wonderful CD, just email us at amyandadams@aol.com and we'll get you 1, 2, 3.... It is $15 plus $2.50 for shipping. We are so excited and everyone who has had a listen loves it.
We began recording DANCING THROUGH TIME last April at Steve Kuether's Panther Creek Recording studio where we finished up 9 songs in September. Steve produced and engineered on our first CD SAIL AWAY. We finished the recording with 2 tracks at home with Mike Whitney engineering in October. Mark & Steve mixed the CD at Panther Creek in late October. Amy, of course, has done another stunning cover.
We are so excited about this CD. Mark's sister Mary Adams again adds her lovely harmonies. This time out we've enlisted the help of some of the finest musicians we've ever heard let alone had the honor to play with. The rhythm section, Rich Brown on bass, and Ryan Hurn on drums, are first call musicians from Branson, MO. These boys are so steady and creative it's no wonder they play for the likes of Andy Williams. We pried Tim Crouch away from Dolly Parton, Vince Gill, and The Grand Ole Opry long enough to lay down some tasty smoking mandolin and fiddle. And Steve brought his keyboard magic to the mix.
DANCING THROUGH TIME has 10 new Amy & Adams originals and one beautiful standard from the 40s. All of the songs are great and we think that GOT A CANDLE IN MY WINDOW has what it takes to become a Christmas Classic.
Speaking of Christmas we're glad to have DANCING THROUGH TIME just in time for you to snuggle up by the fire with someone you love on Christmas Eve. And then New Years Eve, Valentine's Day...

It has come to our attention that there were wonderful folks who showed up last Monday, July 5th for our show at Lake Harriet Bandshell only to find Amy & Adams were not there. We were not there because at 5 PM that evening we received a call from Parks & Rec informing us that the other City Park venues had cancelled their scheduled concerts because of the continuing rain and because the radar showed what looked like a real downpour to come just about the time our show would start at 7:30 PM. It seemed best to also cancel our show and not risk injury or equipment damage. As fate would have it the sky cleared and many folks showed up for our show.
Unfortunately there was no sign or personal announcement indicating that the show had been cancelled due to the weather. Amy & Adams did not know that evidently the MPLS Park & Rec does not send anyone out to let people know that a show has been cancelled so folks were allowed to sit and wait. Many folks were left with the impression that Amy & Adams did not care to show up. This is understandable but we were loaded and ready & eager to come do the show. We live on the East Side of Saint Paul and it was raining quite steady at 5 PM and continued into the evening so it seemed as if canceling the show was the right choice.
We appreciate the loyalty of our fans that showed up and are sorry that we weren't there to give you the show you had come for. Had we been able to know that the weather would in fact permit the show we would have been there to give it. Please accept our regrets at any disappointment canceling this concert caused you. Hopefully the Parks & Rec will learn from this that they need to find a way to let folks know that a show has been canceled.
For this we are sorry as we do care very much about our audience.
Thank you,
Amy & Adams
