AMY & ADAMS represents many decades of performing for audiences of all kinds and ages. We've provided music for many weddings and receptions as well as entertainment at both corporate and private parties.
We are often featured visiting soloists in churches throughout the Twin Cities and other cities and states. We are regular performers at KAFE 421 in Minneapolis, We've entertained at weddings, receptions, and parties. We have brought our show to the Main Stage at Marketfest in White Bear Lake, Art On The Lake in Excelsior, MN as well as many outdoor and indoor City Parks throughout the Twin Cities. We have done high school assemblies, as well as concerts for The Central Iowa Arts Association, and the White Bear Lake Area Historical Society. We also do a great show of older tunes for residents in many of the assisted living and elder care facilities in the area.
Our concerts have been featured on television in the Twin Cities and Iowa City, IA. We’ve performed live on WCCO, AM and WOI TV 5, Des Moines, Iowa. Our live and recorded music has received airplay on radio stations as close as home and as far away as Belgium. Our first album Sail Away reached #9 on Kevin Elliot's Folk, Country, Bluegrass top 20 on WEFT 90.1 FM in Champaign, IL. Our second CD Must Be Dreamin’ received national airplay and spent 14 weeks on The Roots Music Report Folk Top 40 chart in the summer of 2004. We were finalists in the New Songwriters Competition and performed at the 2000 Minnesota Folk Festival.
AMY & ADAMS performs an engaging combination of original and cover tunes, with just the right mix of the new and the recognizable that we call Eclectic FolkRockTinPanAlleyBluesgrass. And, while we do many great tunes by other artists, we give them a flavor that is purely AMY & ADAMS. We both have beautiful voices and play 6 & 12 string acoustic and at times electric guitars. Delightful texture is added with Amy's keyboards, penny whistle and recorder and Mark's sprightly mandolin, and ukulele.
Not only have we honed our skills but we have a very professional attitude about our work, and having been involved in managing and booking for a live club, as well as entertaining, we have an understanding of the importance of working with the venue, its audience and management. We can provide a quality sound system or plug into your house system. AMY & ADAMS is usually a duet, but is often backed up by other musicians. We have a mailing list and will promote actively with your venue. We have much to offer, and would be proud to play for you and your audience.
